Coverage and access

Coverage is limited to the listed US N55 passenger-car applications. Select the exact model, year and drivetrain. SUVs, the original M2 and other unlisted applications require further verification. A shared engine does not establish parts compatibility.

Free access does not require an application. Previously issued invitations have their own access and duration. Existing invitations and reward grants keep their stated terms. Keep invitation codes private.

Free, planned Plus and special offer

Free includes one vehicle, five editable maintenance records, three receipt uploads, basic maintenance reminders and a printable service summary. Account sign-in enables private backup and restore. Advanced repair, modification, troubleshooting and Buy & Sell tools and AI document imports require eligible Plus or invitation access. Above-limit existing records and files are retained; adding more requires room within the Free limits or eligible expanded access. Existing Free editing commitments are preserved in the original browser; this local compatibility does not create a paid subscription or authorize online research. Local records and attachments are not automatically deleted when upgraded access ends. Saved-record PDFs, original downloads and complete Garage backups remain available.

Plus is planned at $4.99/month for up to 4 active cars. Archiving a car frees a slot and keeps its records, original files and exports available. New AI research and imports will share one monthly allowance. Optional extra vehicle slots and one-time Research Boosts are planned; the included allowance and add-on prices will be disclosed before checkout opens. Boosts require an explicit purchase; there are no automatic overage charges. Manual records, viewing saved results and exports do not use research allowance. Paid subscriptions are not open yet. The Plus special offer is $2.49/month for 12 months for 20 qualifying paid Plus subscriptions, then $4.99/month unless cancelled. Using Free access does not reserve a place, start a subscription or authorize a charge. Feedback is encouraged but is not required for the Plus special-offer discount. No public review is required. Research usage allowances and checkout terms will be shown before paid subscriptions open.

Automatic Garage backup and restore use your WERKAVON account. You can choose automatic backup during account setup; no separate backup login is required. One chosen browser uploads changes while the app is open and online; other browsers can restore a saved copy. This does not continuously synchronize editing between devices. The latest and previous complete copies are retained until replaced or deleted. Backups include up to 30 MB of original files, with a 50 MB total backup limit. Check the backup status before clearing local data.

Existing invitations and rewards

For invitations already issued, the two-week access period begins when you first activate your invitation. Existing invitation holders who participate and submit specific, constructive feedback receive one year of Garage feature access at no charge after their completed feedback is reviewed. Positive and negative feedback both qualify. The separate reward invitation runs for one calendar year from first activation.

No payment card, automatic renewal or public review is required. The existing reward includes current Garage features and cloud account access when available; cloud sync is not available today and has no promised launch date. If you choose to publish a review, disclose the free access. A public review is optional and does not affect the reward.

Using guidance and market research

Prepared repair guides are released individually after technical review for their stated applications. Only a guide matched to the selected vehicle and fitted components is presented as prepared. Research output can be incomplete or incorrect; it does not replace applicable workshop instructions, physical inspection or qualified professional judgment.

Confirm parts fitment and tightening values from applicable technical sources before starting work. Do not use an uncertain procedure for safety-critical work. Condition photos cannot establish mechanical health. Asking-price comparisons are research references, not sale-price guarantees; listing availability can change.

Your records and uploads

Only upload material you have the right to share and avoid unrelated personal information. Online tools send selected content and relevant vehicle context to service providers as described in Privacy & data.

Automatic backups protect only changes confirmed as successfully uploaded. Offline changes and interrupted uploads may remain only on your device. Optional downloaded backups provide another copy under your control. Browser clearing, storage limits or device loss can remove local records. Review imported history and generated listings before saving or sharing them. Changes to features do not make an unverified result a completed repair instruction.
